Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

CAG Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are designed to foster professional development and strengthen networks in specific areas of gastroenterology practice and research. These groups play a vital role in advancing the Association’s mission and objectives.

The primary function of a SIG is to promote the study, research, and advancement of gastroenterology in Canada. They encourage discussion, collaboration, and debate among Association members, supporting those with specialized interests and providing valuable insights on relevant issues.

While SIGs operate independently and do not have a formal reporting structure to the CAG, they are integral to the broader goals of the Association.
