Endoscopy Achievement Award

New in 2024-25, the CAG Endoscopy Achievement Award is awarded to a CAG member who is recognized nationally for their expertise and contributions to endoscopy. This could be important clinical contributions, guideline development, or important research in endoscopy.

Selection Process

Candidates must:

  • Hold an appointment at a Canadian university, hospital or research institute
  • Be a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant resident in Canada

Step One: Nomination

  • Nominators and Nominees must be CAG members in good standing for at least 3 years. 

Submission Requirements

  • Nominations must be submitted by September 15 11:59 PM ET
    • Submissions received after the deadline will be considered for the following year.
  • The Nomination form must be completed in a single session with the required documentation, it will not save your information to return to at a later time.

Step Two: Review

CAG Clinical Affairs will review the nominations and make recommendations to the Board, who will make the final decision regarding recipients.

The review committee will assess and score nominations on demonstrated achievements in the following area(s):

  • National Recognition
  • Clinical Contributions
  • Guideline Development
  • Research Contributions
  • Additional Contributions

Step Three: Approval

Only the award recipient will be notified by email. The recipient will be presented at the CDDW™ Conference, and it is expected they will formally accept it at the Opening and Awards Ceremony.
