Clinical Achievement Award
New in 2024-25, the CAG Clinical Achievement Award is awarded to a CAG member who has made outstanding contributions to clinical GI over a significant period of time. Specific criteria include: a career of distinguished clinical practice of GI, contributions in patient care or clinical guideline development, technological innovation, and clinical education.

Selection Process
Candidates must:
- Hold an appointment at a Canadian university, hospital or research institute
- Be a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant resident in Canada
Step One: Nomination

Nominators and Nominees must be CAG members in good standing for at least 3 years.
Submission Requirements
- Nominations must be submitted by September 15 11:59 PM ET
- Submissions received after the deadline will be considered for the following year.
- The Nomination form must be completed in a single session with the required documentation, it will not save your information to return to at a later time.

Step Two: Review
CAG Clinical Affairs will review the nominations and make recommendations to the Board, who will make the final decision regarding recipients. Selection will be based on the research records of candidates.
The review committee will assess and score nominations on demonstrated achievements in the following area(s):
- Distinguished Clinical Practice
- Contributions in Patient Care or Clinical Guideline Development
- Technological Innovation
- Clinical Education Contributions
- Additional Contributions
Step Three: Approval
Only the award recipient will be notified by email. The recipient will be presented at the CDDW™ Conference, and it is expected they will formally accept it at the Opening and Awards Ceremony.
