Early Career Educator Award

The CAG Early Career Educator Award (formerly known as the Young Educator Award) recognizes outstanding contributions by CAG members to gastroenterology through education.

Selection Process

Candidates must:

  • Be within ten (10) years of their first academic appointment
  • Hold an appointment at a Canadian university, hospital or research institute
  • Be a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant resident in Canada

Step One: Nomination

  • Nominators and Nominees must be CAG members in good standing for at least 3 years. 

Submission Requirements

  • Nominations must be submitted by September 15 11:59 PM ET
    • Submissions received after the deadline will be considered for the following year.
  • The Nomination form must be completed in a single session with the required documentation, it will not save your information to return to at a later time.

Upon successful submission, you will be redirected to a confirmation page and will receive a confirmation email. If this does not occur, please contact the .

Step Two: Review

Education Affairs will review the nominations and make recommendations to the Board, who will make the final decision regarding recipients.

Step Three: Approval

Only the award recipient will be notified by email. The recipient will be presented at the CDDW™ Conference, and it is expected they will formally accept it at the Opening and Awards Ceremony.
