The TET course concentrates on endoscopy training theory and techniques. It assumes the participant has taken a CSI course and is very comfortable with the SEE™ colonoscopy technique. We aim this course at individuals who are involved with trainees in endoscopy.
- Designed for teachers of endoscopy, with specific aims to improve teaching skills and procedural conscious competence needed to teach endoscopy.
- TET courses run for 1.5 days with two (2) Certified SEE™ Faculty teaching up to six (6) delegates.
- Recommended that the CSI Course is taken prior to the TET Course.
- Accredited for 10.5 hours of Section 3 credits for a total of 31.5 credits for Section 3.
TET Course Learning Objectives:
- An understanding of objectives (set), learning experiences (dialogue), and evaluation (closure, feedback).
- An understanding of the evolution of technical skills acquisition.
- An understanding and consideration for deliberate practice, cognitive load theory and skills deconstruction.
- Practice teaching (and receiving feedback) in two settings: teaching a specific skill and teaching a real colonoscopy.
- Acquisition of colonoscopy skills and tips practiced during the course, to be applied subsequently to clinical practice.
