Job Description / Duties

We are looking for full-time Gastroenterologists at Royal Inland Hospital in beautiful Kamloops, British Columbia.

A referral based practice in general gastroenterology and hepatology, as well as participation in the provincial Colorectal Cancer Screening Program, ensures a varied practice. The gastroenterologists are supported by one colorectal surgeon dedicated to advanced IBD surgery. The group also have set up a centralized referral system and are on one EMR database (Accuro) that the successful new recruit will be invited to join. Additional GI subspecialty training is welcomed, but not required. Members of the Division of Gastroenterology provide service to the hospital on a consultative, as well as GI on-call service. There are two dedicated endoscopy trained nurses on call with the gastroenterologists to facilitate flexibility and ease on call cases. There is a Hepatology/Viral Hepatitis clinic with specialized nurses and Fibroscan capability. Hepatology clinic participation is available. We have EUS, ERCP, endoluminal stenting, pH studies, esophageal motility and cancer therapy (apart from radiation). Further ambitious growth was recently announced for a new cancer centre which will include radiation-therapy services, set to enrich our cancer care services by 2028. RIH has interventional radiologists and have gastroenterology fellows rotating through our hospital. Great working relationships and well supported with a great group of general surgeons, GPs/Hospitalists, and highly trained RNs. Qualifications / Required Skills

-Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
-Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
-Doctorate in Medicine
-Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory

Additional Information

Relocation assistance up to $9,000 - $15,000 based on your move location (with eligible receipts and based on a 1.0 FTE).

Salary: Fee for Service: $650,000- 750,000 plus MOCAP level 2
