Job Description / Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and expanding the current M.Sc. program in Translational Health Sciences and teach courses in Biomedical Sciences. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in a field related to Biomedical Sciences and will have experience in coordinating academic programs and/or participating in curriculum development. Knowledge of biomedical research methodology, clinical research applications, and modern pedagogical techniques are assets. Experience with mentoring students in career development will be considered a strength. Coordination of graduate students in their clinical research projects is required and a key component of this position.

Compensation: $78,762 - $128,762

This is within the 2026-2027 salary range for the rank outlined in Article A Table A.1 of the current Collective Agreement with the Windsor University Faculty Association. The compensation offered to the successful candidate will take into consideration the existing salary structure, the experience and available budget. A full range of benefits including a pension plan and medical benefits are available to the successful candidate.

Qualifications / Required Skills

  • A letter of application, including a statement confirming eligibility to work in Canada, and outlining how the candidate meets each job requirement (see attached checklist):
    • PhD in Biomedical Science related field,
    • Experience in coordinating academic programs and/or participating in curriculum development,
    • Experience mentoring students,
    • Experience with Biomedical Science methodology;
  • a curriculum vitae;
  • a 5-year vision statement on the future growth of the THS program (up to 2 pages);
  • a one-page statement of commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization and Indigenization;
  • a teaching dossier or portfolio demonstrating potential for or evidence of teaching effectiveness and excellence that will include sample course syllabi/outlines, teaching evaluations, and a statement of teaching philosophy and interests (resources and templates for completing a teaching dossier can be found at https://www.uwindsor.ca/ctl/502/teaching-dossiers); and
  • three (3) contacts for references. These referees will be contacted only for shortlisted candidates.
