Locum Opportunity – General Gastroenterology (1-Year Term with Potential for Permanent Position)

A well-established General Gastroenterology practice is seeking a locum physician to provide full-time coverage for a one-year term beginning September 2026 through September 2027, with the potential to transition into a permanent position thereafter.

Position Details:

Duration: 12 months (September 2026 – September 2027)
Practice Type: General Gastroenterology
Clinical Setting: Outpatient clinics, endoscopy suite, and inpatient consult service at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering
Scope: Bread-and-butter gastroenterology, including endoscopy procedures (e.g., gastroscopy, colonoscopy)
Call: Participation in call schedule (details available upon inquiry)

Qualifications / Required Skills

● Certification in Gastroenterology
● Strong clinical and procedural skills in general GI
● ERCP procedure skills preferable but not necessary
● Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
