Dear Canadian Gastroenterologist,
Women with chronic illnesses, such as inflammatory bowel diseases, often have difficulties making decisions regarding family planning compared to women who are healthy. Previous research has shown that concern regarding chronic illness and medication use can lead to decisions of voluntary childlessness. We wish to assess physician knowledge regarding reproductive issues in inflammatory bowel disease, and to assess physician practice patterns with respect to discussing reproductive issues with IBD patients.
We invite you to participate in our short questionnaire study, which will take 10 to 15 minutes of your time, to assess physician knowledge regarding reproductive issues in IBD. If you have already completed a questionnaire at one of the IBD conferences in 2012, thank you for your participation.

Thank you for your time.
