Research Topics in GI Disease
The CAG Research Topics in GI Disease meeting will provide a unique opportunity for graduate students, PhD and MD postdoctoral trainees including adult or pediatric trainees [beyond their core training i.e. “PGY5/PGY6”] engaged in gastrointestinal research to attend the 12th Annual Research Topics in GI Disease Meeting (February 27-28, 2013) being held in advance of The Canadian Digestive Diseases Week (CDDW 2013) in Victoria, British Columbia. This small group meeting provides an intimate setting for participants to present their research findings, engage in career development workshops and skill building exercises among enthusiastic expert faculty in the field. In addition, participants will be able to register to attend CDDW and take advantage of trainee focused events at CDDW including the Trainee workshop, faculty directed poster reviewing sessions along with all of the other offerings.
Participants will be required to submit an abstract using the CDDW meeting’s on-line abstract system. Abstracts will be reviewed, ranked, and selected by the Research Committee of the CAG. The abstracts that are accepted to the Research Topics Meeting are also considered for presentation at the CDDW meeting.
Funding will be available to support transportation to the Research Topics in GI Disease/CDDW meeting as well as cover the cost of shared accommodation during the Research Topics course immediately prior to CDDW. Limited spots will be available on a competitive basis. Please review the call for abstracts notice for additional meeting information. The abstract system is now closed. The submission deadline was October 15, 2012 , 11:59 p.m. EDT.
