How to Become a Member
The CAG welcomes membership applications from any individuals with an interest in medical education or research in gastrointestinal health and disease and offers four categories of membership:
| Regular Members: |
Physicians, nurses, other health professionals and biomedical scientists |
| Trainee Members: |
Graduate students, residents and post-doctoral or research fellows holding a training position related to gastroenterology or gastrointestinal research. |
| Affiliate/International Members: |
Physicians and those in allied health fields who live outside Canada |
| Supporting Members: |
Representatives of industry or government who play a role in policies, administration, or funding related to gastroenterology practice, education or research. |

*Registration fee for non-members is $500
† The annual fee for Regular membership will increase over three years from $250 in 2007 to $275 in 2008 and $300 in 2009. Members opting to pay three years in advance will receive a reduced rate – see application form.
The Admissions Committee reviews applications for membership on a quarterly basis, and upon approval applicants begin receiving benefits as Provisional members. Provisional members are then presented to the membership at the Annual General Meeting for final approval.
Note: To be declared a Provisional Member prior to CDDW, complete applications for Regular and Affiliate/International Membership must be received at the National Office no later than January 31
