Other PAGE Programs

Three other PAGE programs have preceded the PAGE – Improving Access to Gastroenterology Services in Canada Program.  These programs are described in more detail below.

PAGE I – Endoscopy

Initiated in January of 2002, the program captures data on consecutive patients undergoing upper gastrointestinal endoscopy over a three-week period.  Data from more than 7400 procedures are reported on the data site.

PAGE II – Colonoscopy

Similar to the above program and launched one year later, PAGE II collects data on consecutive colonoscopies performed over a three-week period.  More than 5200 procedures have been documented.

PAGE III – A Week in the Life of a Gastroenterologist

This program examines how gastroenterologists divide their time between clinical work, administration, education and research.
