2010 CAG Education Excellence Award

The CAG Education Excellence Award is awarded to a member of the CAG who has made an outstanding contribution to education on a national or international basis. The contribution may be in the areas of direct teaching, research in education or development of educational programs. The recipient is invited to give a lecture at Canadian Digestive Diseases Week. 2010 CAG Young Educator Award

The CAG Young Educator Award recognizes outstanding contributions to gastroenterology through education by a young investigator CAG member, who is invited to give a lecture at Canadian Digestive Diseases Week. Candidates must:

  • be under 45 year of age and/or within seven (7) years of their 1st academic appointment
  • hold an appointment at a Canadian university, hospital or research institute
  • be a Canadian citizen or a landed immigrant resident in Canada.

For the Young Educator Award, a copy of the candidate's C.V. and a letter of support should be forwarded along with the nomination. In the case of the Education Excellence Award a letter of support may be submitted at your discretion.

The Education Committee will review the nominations and make recommendations to the executive, who will make the final decision regarding recipients. Selection will be based on the education record of candidates. To nominate individuals for either of these awards please use the *Nomination Form.
