GASTROENTEROLOGY RESIDENTS-IN-TRAINING (GRIT) COURSE
The Gastroenterology Residents-in-Training (GRIT) Course is held in conjunction with CDDW. The intensive, three-day course is designed to provide first and second year adult and pediatric gastroenterology trainees with the chance to:
- present their data orally or as a poster
- cover timely topics of interest and obtain up-to-date information in a context that allows critical evaluation
- interact and network with other residents - an opportunity rarely available given the size of the country, AND
- interact closely with a small number of recognized, effective Canadian teachers.
Information on the meeting and a call for abstracts is sent to
gastroenterology program directors for announcement to trainees several months before the meeting. All interested trainees MUST submit an abstract by October 15. The Course Co-Chairs select applicants based on the quality of their abstract, with travel, accommodation and meals expenses being covered for successful candidates as per Course guidelines.
